The Freedom of Information Act is a vital part of our democracy. We should not be looking at ways to diminish it, we should be finding ways to make it stronger.

FOI helps inform and drive public debate, prevent poor decision making and costly mistakes, and highlight abuses or areas where vulnerable people are not getting the support they need.
